Sakhi AI — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Sakhi AI ("the App") is an offline, on-device women's health companion built for Indian women. The App uses an AI model that runs entirely on your Android device. No internet connection is required for any core feature, and no user data is sent to any external server.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the App stores locally on your device and how it is used.

2. Data We Collect — None

Sakhi AI does not collect any personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any identity information
• Your location or device GPS data
• Your health queries or chat messages
• Your period tracking data, symptoms, or notes
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics data
• Crash logs or usage statistics

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using SQLite (a local database). This data never leaves your phone:

• Chat history — your questions and Sakhi's responses, stored per topic
• Period logs — start date, end date, flow intensity
• Daily symptoms — mood, symptoms selected, personal notes
• Language preference — your selected language, stored via SharedPreferences

All locally stored data can be deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing App data from your Android Settings.

4. AI Model — Fully On-Device

Sakhi AI uses Gemma 4 E2B — a large language model that runs entirely on your device (on-device inference). Your health queries are processed locally by this model. No query, no response, and no conversation data is ever sent to any server - including Google's servers or our servers.

5. Internet Permission

Sakhi AI does not request internet permission and makes no network requests. All features work fully offline. The first time you open a chat topic, Sakhi AI downloads its AI model (about 2.6 GB) once, from HuggingFace. This is the only time the App uses the internet. Only the model file is downloaded — no personal data, health information, or usage data is sent. After the download, all features work fully offline.

6. Third-Party SDKs and Services

Sakhi AI does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or any similar service.

7. Children's Privacy

Sakhi AI is intended for women aged 12 and above. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data at all, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from minors.

8. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption). We recommend enabling device encryption and a screen lock for additional protection.

9. Your Rights

Since we collect no personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. To delete all locally stored data:

• Go to Android Settings → Apps → Sakhi AI → Storage → Clear Data, or
• Uninstall the App

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
